What's Post-Modernism?

Let me explain via contrast. Imagine an architect designing on graph paper - every line is precise and measured. Imagine a world where every question has an answer.
Everything is black and white.
There is no room for passion, beauty or life.
This was the essence of modernism.
You go to school, graduate, work until you collect a welfare check. Family is part of your off-time and you better keep them in line.
Post-modernism is simply a transitional period breaking the lines and testing other answers. So, philosophically, our world's cultures have surpassed their boundaries by an information revolution.
As you could say Gutenberg's printing press brought about modernism through the explosion of information via books... today's Internet's information explosion has placed all information at your fingertips in seconds.
And now, when differing views are all equally accessable, there is little to determine the value of a Muslim prayer rug and a Jewish Yarmulke (prayer cap) so maybe we should try them both.
Which would frustrate both Muslims and Jews.
Post-modernism has become the pick and choose of cultural truths and is wrecking havok on traditions and facades.
Just look at wikipedia - the dictionary of public opinion.
And if you accept this definition, great... if not, feel free to add.
