Today the three biggest New Year’s resolutions, every year, on January first is people want to lose weight, they want to get more on track with their budget, and they want to elevate their association (get better friends or a special someone). We would like to help you be in a position where you can help yourself and every person you meet get on track with these goals.
Have We Lost Our Way? Can We Get Some Direction Here?
Are you searching for purpose in life, or have you forgotten what being alive was all about? God has created everyone uniquely and for a purpose. All the fears we cringe from, which make us long for our comfort zone, are here to encourage us to move on in our purpose.
You will find your purpose in the deep desires of your heart. Not the shallow ones of lust, bitterness, anger or questing for power/money. No, the true purpose we hold is something good that will bless others... like writing, acting, art, counseling, math, academics, teaching or dancing. What does your heart long for?
Look at what you fear, that is probably the direction you are supposed to follow. Are you afraid to talk to people? So much of life is about communication. Repulsed by invest? A healthy fear of risk is noble, but overcomable with a few television hours a week focused on building a small business? Afraid to work out or stick with a healthy diet because there will be pain and discipline involved?
But what caused these fears or wounds to our soul? And what are they tempting us to do or not do? Deep down the wounds whether abandonment, abuse, or violations all tell us the same thing: kill your heart. Instead of divorcing, neglecting, running from, indulging or medicating our heart, we need to heal. And that takes time, reflection, forgiveness and love.
I don't want to make the process seem rational, as if we assess the situation and chose the logical four-step process. Life doesn't work efficiently and we cannot manage our heart in a detached way. We get ambushed in life and our gut level response is protection.
"I'll never feel that pain, be in that position or be that close to someone again." If you listen closely, you can hear the screams of your wounds beneath the armor plating.
Such fears can immobilize a person from acquiring their desired life goals and finding other valuable joys in life.. Yet, if you want to make a difference, you are always able. Health, material betterment, getting out of debt, pursuit of a life with meaning… these are only a decision away.

Something Bigger
If we are forced to dig past all our usual shortcuts in thinking, past the natural stock answers we've aquired for almost every situation, and try to probe deeply into our richer deeper awareness... this is where the meaningful gems of our lives are stored.
When was the last time you truly dwelt upon something important? Most people don't put forth effort in thought unless they have to.
People often don't think about their health until they get a life-altering call from the doctor. They don't think about their relationships unitl they are about to lose them. People don't think about their career's future until their security is shaken.
We often live in life's problems and not in the solutions. We need proactive creative solutions that have a positive lasting effect upon our lives.
