Little Things Mean a Lot
When looking to improve your business: stop trying to find that one magic thing that will make a huge difference and change the course of your success for the best.
Instead, try looking for a lot of little things that make a difference. In our attempt to gain customers, we can try special memberships or events.
A car dealership hosts a party with food, drinks and play toys for the kids. It is closed to the public, open only to those who have at least shopped, viewed their cars in recent history and any family members or friends they would like to invite. You host the party and your customers invite the attendees.
How about the coffee shop or insurance broker who hosts an anniversary BBQ or a 4 of July bash by inviting all their customers with their friends and family. They reward their clientele as well as introduce their service to new faces.
I have just been invited to a new one. A local gym, which wasn’t doing very well, had a drawing at a number of county fairs. The winner would receive a free six-month membership. They would also be invited to a special party where they could tour the facilities and enjoy samples of the gyms fitness coordinator, supplements and nutritional product lines.
Can you guess how many people won the drawing? I sure did.
